The great big trees like they are in the shrine, should used to be a baby tree.
I guess which is first when the shrine built, was the tree small or already big?
Or people estimeted they must be going to be big?
大木って素晴らしい。何百年もそこにいてみんなを見てきた。神社やお寺に必ずあるクスノキの大木。でもそんな大木も、かつては小さな苗木だったはず。お寺や神社は、クスノキが大きくなったその場所に建ったのかクスノキが大きく立派になると見越してそこに建てたのかどっちなんだろう？
